The Lord be with you
Last night our class on the biblical book of Revelation met. As we are starting our look at the first letter, which is addressed to the “angel of the church at Ephesus,” we began by simply reading that letter (verses 1-7). We then did an overview of the city, touching on its historical, cultural, religious, geographical, and economic background. This information would also be useful to someone studying Saint Paul’s letter to that church. We then looked closely at verses one and two, lightly touching on images already used, and delving more deeply into images that are new. The video below includes the handout on Ephesus.
