Ceiling Collapse Update
Trinity Lutheran Church, Mt. Rainer MD

Several weeks ago the ceiling in the sanctuary at Trinity fell without any obvious cause. Volunteers have now cleaned up the the sanctuary and the congregation waits for a report from a structural engineer but worship continues! The congregation is meeting in an overflow area until repairs can be made. The Mekane Yesus Congregation has set up their worship in the fellowship hall. They are making the best of the situation and are very thankful that nobody was injured in the collapse.

Rocky Road Lutheran Church is a new ministry in the Central Plateau of Haiti. Pastor Mura and Samuel travel together to teach Luther’s Small Catechism twice a month. It is a two hour walk as the way to get there is not accessible by motorcycle or horseback from Laotchikit, where Pastor Mura also conducts services. The first priority is to purchase Bibles in Creole. If you would like more information on this new ministry in Haiti please contact Lar Helland. [email protected]
